ReplyDeleteIf this does not affect the amount and quality of rebates, then this is a great feature! I buy all my new releases from GMG because of the 20-30% off rebates. But the way I see this, this is like transforming a rebate into GMG points(+small rebates like this 10%). So, in essence, you ensure that the cash you rebate to us ends up to you later. I expect that you did this as a way to get more cash and lose less to your 20-30% rebates.
ReplyDeleteI might buy less games from GMG if I don't see them being discounted. The thing is that I shop around, so points specific to a certain distributor are of little interest. If I choose the cash option, that just means a smaller rebate.
But hey, if you continue to give these big rebates and also do the points thing, then, nice...
